Guten Morgan! Julian, Eileen and Tony all slept well.
What can I do, if not much?
My lifelong love of coffee kept me going in these times. I was up at 4:30am and then again at 5:30am, dosing myself while my family slept.
Julian woke me up at 10:30 after I had slept for 12 hours. (Thanks to the universe for that!) After a few cups of coffee and a slice of amazing German bread, I went back to sleep at 7:30. Julian woke me up at 10:30 (thank the Universe for 12 hours of sleep for the baby!) We went to the store and bought some each. Do you know Each? Thing. Is Sunday closed in Germany? !
I didn’t believe that it was impossible to buy diapers, but it is! In a gas station I found some coffee filters (Aha!) The gas station is at least open, but there are no diapers. We counted and hoped that this wouldn’t become an issue.
We got a late start due to everyone sleeping, so we headed into Valentina’s gym for an exercise program designed to help with jet-lag. Unique fitness is beautiful! The workout was great – chinups, bench presses, deadlifts, swings… everything feels better by 30%! Tony, Eileen, and I did our workouts while Julian watched (and slept more!) Julian was in his stroller.
We went to Bonn for a little sightseeing after the workout. One of the main tourist attractions in this cute city is Beethoven’s birthplace. Tony and Eileen visited the house, but due to the lack of stroller accessibility, Jules & I watched tourists take pictures at the front door.
Valentina suggested a restaurant with delicious food on the other side the Rhine after a bit of walking. We made the trip, but by the time we got there, we were already starving.
The walk was worth the effort.
This was the “The” place for Schnitzel if you wanted good Schnitzel… I couldn’t resist! I chose the “Classic Schnitzel”, which is veal with bacon bits on top. Naturally, this was served with potatoes.
